Bruce and I were invited to speak to the Kiwanis Club of Oakland Park at their meeting on January 21.
A shout out to to Mike Goldstein for suggesting that we talk to their group about Middle River Press.
We were totally blown away by the passion and effort this club puts forth for the community, especially for children.
Kiwanis means we share our talents, and boy, do they!
They are busy making blankets for kids and the elderly, putting together boxes for the homeless and raising money locally and worldwide. For more information check out their website
In the photo below, Bruce shares a copy of his book “Dizzy’s Busy Day” with Elaine Hall. She is a retired elementary school teacher. (Lloyd Estates Elementary). She has many Kiwanis duties and in the newsletter she writes Elaine’s Corner.
