Next to mosquitoes, spiders may be the most feared, abhorrerd, and maligned arthropods on earth. That is probably because all of them are poisonous in one form or another, they are adept crawlers, they are carnivores par excellence, and they tend to blatantly display the consequences of their sexual activities—all without remorse, decorum, or shame…And I, for one, am tired of being laughed at by those arrogant eight-legged jesters.
